For my local game warden.

I'm kinda big on recognition;

I found myself in a tight spot at the opener of last duck season and probably wouldn't be here today without his assistance. Anyways, "thanks" is hardly enough for someone that pulls you and a friend (and dog) out of 52 degree water during inclement weather.

Oh maybe so. I wasn't able to get on the forum last season so I guess I missed the story.

I relive it very often,

when you hunt a secluded spot and 20MPH+ winds kick up you are expecting a rough ride back to the boat ramp, this particular time (3 foot rollers) put us down for the count. Instead of driving the h3ll out of it and staying "on top" I attempted to "take it easy" and hug the coastline...

It didn't work out and my boat was swamped 1/4 mile into "open water".

I've learned a lot from that day, I have a healthy fear of the water. ALWAYS wear a PFD/Lifejacket. As someone who grew up on the water and spent nearly every free day I had on it I will tell you this. Boats sink faster than you can ever imagine, wear the PFD every time and always have a PLAN B.

Matt thats a great gift for the GW, I bet he will enjoy the thought.

Also I know that you have learned a lot from that day and you also taught me a lesson or two with what happened, and I feel like you have done a very good thing for yourself and your passengers by purchasing one of the finest boats on the market today.....Gator Trax Boats!!!!

You know me bro I'm going to find a place to market the companies I rep where ever I can and what a chance now...LOL.

But all playing aside,,,...I'm glad you and your bud made it through that morning and I think you are doing the right thing for the GW.I still think it was a God send with that day "I mean it was high winds out there,Why was he in it?"
