The time is finally here! My son has been in Cub Scouts since he was in 1st grade and just bridged over to Boy Scouts. This last weekend was his first camp out was his first as a Boy Scout. You can tell in the picture that he was exhausted but had an awesome time. For the first time since he started in 1st grade he's still talking about the campout almost a week later. Here is a pic of him earning his Scout badge at the camp out. I can't wait until I get to Post up here in a few (4-5 yrs) a picture of him holding his Eagle Scout Rank. Dad is certainly proud and looking forward to a fun adventure together with him.

Cub Scouts is all about the Familt and Boy Scouts is more about the boy and learing those life skills that will set him up to be a leader in his community. Way to go there "Little Spec" Congrats on your first step on the Scouting trail.

Thanks for the tip. When I picked up the 100 year anivery one I almost bought one of these for him. I decided to wait until he was a little closer to that goal before I dropped the cash. I can assure you that when he's a Life Scout and is starting his project I'll be looking to get one of these. Thanks for the tip.

Hey congrats on bridging over. I'm an ASM with the troop my son just received his Eagle Scout with. He started as a first year Tiger Scout. I wasn't to thrilled with cub scouts but the boy scouts are a grand adventure. Enjoy the ride as your little boy becomes a young man. It's a great time.

Good times right there,Congrats to you both!
If you get the chance to go to Philmont with them be sure you are on the bus with them. No experience in the world that can compare to that for both of you.

Now let the Young Man develop! Congratulations to both you and your Son. It is a great program, just remember it is a Boy Run Program and the adults are there in a support role! Both of my boys finished up as Eagle Scouts and they did not know I was having more fun than they were! I would not take anything for the experience and grand times I had with my sons and the rest of the troop.
