I think I've been loading 12grns behind a 405grn cast in my 45/70. Should be running about 850fps. I like it.

I've had good luck with it. I primarily use it in old guns. Most recently I've used it in a Win 1892 38-40 which was made in 1894.

I'm using it in 45 colt. 6gr with a 238gr hard cast has been very user friendly in a uberti, a pietta, and a judge rifle.

Good stuff in 45 LC and older single actions.

15grns and a 405 gr soft point make nice little groups in a 458 Socom and are still subsonic.

I use it for subsonic loads in 6.8, 308. Its a great powder but for subsonic use you have to weigh the charges precisely or it fluctuates all over the place. If you load carefully it can produce sub MOA loads.
