Ummm...If he was carrying concealed, how was the employee able to know he was carrying, approach him and ask that he leave the store? Does IA concealed carry differ from places like Texas or is it an open/concealed carry thing?

If he printed, I get it. If I'm not mistaken, here he would have been breaking the law if he did.

I don't understand facebook and I got tired of reading people's comments. Is there a link directly to a story?

How did the store know he had a concealed handgun?

In the link it said he was not concealed but open. In Iowa open carry is allowed with a permit.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Yes. Most states give businesses the right to refuse service (based on certain provisions). They can ask the customer to leave the store, but the person cannot be charged with a criminal act.

coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

That is not exactly true.

They can kick you out for no reason at all, but not any reason.

For example, you cannot be kicked out because of your race or religion.

At that point, you would be getting kicked out for having a bad attitude. Hence, they can kick you out for ANY reason.

Everything I have found so far says that ou can carry with a license, as long as you meet state laws. Who knows why this went down cant find any more info on it.

So if I don't have a 30.06 sign posted and I select to throw and individual out I am within my rights as a business owner?

If I do have 30.06 posted then I can call the cops and have the person arrested?

That's the way I understand it, unless you own a bar. We own two businesses, handguns welcome at both of them. I would have to post 30.06 at both of them to make it illegal to carry per my attorney. Unless its posted its legal.

you could also verbally tell someone, and if they did not leave, they would be breaking the law.
