I'm fortunate to live in a region where feral hogs aren't really a problem, which leads me to this question. I know hogs reproduce extremely quickly and establish easily, but with the number being taken out by you good folks, how possible it is to wipe them out of a property? Even temporarily.

It's probably not possible. Most are just trying to contain the numbers-----if that's even possible. For the avid hunters, hunting hogs is year round.
It's the time spent in God's creation with family and friends making memories that counts.

Unless you're trapping and doing aeral eradication events you won't get rid of hogs they might temporarily relocate......but you won't eliminate them.
If there are only a million hogs it all of TX (which I highly doubt) and 1/3 of them are sows (300,000) and they only have one litter a year w/ 4 piglets X 300,000 you have essentially doubled the herd in one year. No way are a million + pigs being killed a year, which means the herd continues to grow exponentially.

You will find people that note with some pride how they have eradicated pigs from a property. It is an interesting notion, but probably not realistic. It is sort of like chasing some kids out of a candy store and saying they have been eradicated from a property.
There are a lot of variables on what is a "property" and what is "eradicated." Chances are, nobody kills all the pigs in a given region that use or may use a property. At a given point in time, there may be no pigs on the property, but the pigs apt to use the property won't just be on that property. To have pigs actually eradicated from a property, there would need to be a seriously large buffer around the property as well from which hogs have been removed.
Otherwise as noted, you might kill some and scare some away for a while, but the survivors will be back and should you happen to actually kill them all (not likely), others will simply move in and fill the void just like with other wildlife.

At my home place in Bowie county, we (neighbors) have kept them down pretty good, but not entirely gone, and we hunt/trap them often.
At my place in Cass county - I can't keep up. Too many. But this is river land; many acres of river bottoms.

In my opinion the solution lies in your fences and the means to get rid of them.
Mesh wire fences will work wonders. If you dont have a pile of corn on one side and a hog on the other then the hog has no burning desire to cross said fence.
The last place we hunted was 780 acres with alot of hogs the place was fenced in sheep and goat netting. We fixed the holes and put snares on them and then comenced shooting every hog on site(really not that many) and running traps. The traps and snares caught way more than got shot and the net wire helps a bunch.
The property that borders our place now is 1200 acres of row crop. The owner couldnt control hogs by shooting even at night so he fenced it in a heavy horse net wire and has had no problems sence.
If you have no fence or barbed wire then they can come and go as they please and there will always be the guy a mile down the road who likes them or doesnt do anythign to get rid of them and next thing you know they will be back on your place.

I wish it was that easy. We trap, run dogs, and stay after them with nigh vision. We kill lots, yes there are some times they do leave for a couple weeks but they always come back. It would be nice to be able to fence in your whole place like that, and it would work, but our place has the sabine river that runs through it and make for a hard was to stop the pigs from traveling it.

It's not. I have a 20 acre spot that we caught 30 hogs and shot 11 on in a month. There is lot less traffic from them but they are still coming through on occasion. I'm just glad we don't have as many as before.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Come up to the hi water line and start building fence, let them run in the bottoms and you still save alot.

As stated above, it depends on the surrounding property. Hogs have been eradicated from almost all populated cities. No place to find food/shelter. Flat open plowed fields no place to hide. Last Feb I shot all hogs that entered the property. After a couple weeks no more hogs, this lasted 7 mths before any tracks entered the property. Hundreds acres of corn in the fields, a few hogs came into the fields and left in ice chests . Farmer made daily rounds around fields and if any tracks were made he called and gave location. The hog or hogs would return and leave in the ice chests. Last yr 82 hogs, this year 1 in the corn field 95yds from edge at night day before corn was cut last week. Left in the ice chest. All year long have watched 3 hogs on neighbors property 300yds from fence line (500yds from corn) never crossed into property I hunt, they are still there. Shot 8 hogs on neighboring property I have permission to hunt. So from 82 last yr ending in FEB 2012, to 9 this yr to date 2013, only 1 in corn. You can make a big difference. Miles of watermelon planted, lets see if the three hogs are willing to risk their life when melons mature in a few months.

You will never get rid of them... even if you take every pig out of a group there will be a new group moving in right behind them... the best you can do is to keep steady pressure on them...traping and running dogs will give you the best results to keep them at bay... shoot them when you can but it thats all your doing your not even gona make a dent.
We had a place that was on a river bottom and had them thick! started running dogs durring the spring and summer every week at least and it made a huge difference in the number of deer we started seeing...

I'll be more than happy to help get rid of some hogs. They've been scarce at the 4 properties I hunt them. We had 20 or better in the 1st month last year. I haven't connected yet this year. Not so much for me...more so for the wife who has really shown an interest in taking a hog.
Contact me anytime. If I'm available... I'll be there. If needed, I can get a friend and his 4 boys out also.

We've been targetting mature sows on my place for a couple years. Just makes sense, kill the women and the men (boars) will go somewhere else. We still have some pigs, but we're not near as over-run as we were 4 years ago. We'll keep killing sows.
edited to add: Now, we don't pass on boars, we just make it a point to get a shot on every sow that shows herself, regardless of what said shot may be. Nature takes care of the piglets, usually before dawn.

When you shoot 82 in one year, what do you do with all the meat? Give them away, have people that gave me boxes of ammo, some gave me money to pay for ice and gas . Well this year have people asking but no hogs the 9 went fast, I wish groups of them would move in and I wouldn't be shooting coyotes just piggies. You can't put pressure on drt hogs, when they get away they get smarter. Get more shooters. Farmer started letting anyone that asked for permission to hunt, hunt the corn fields this was before the 82 hogs were eradicated. He was using them as security guards patrolling with spotlights this went on for 3yrs. Well after night vision and thermal I don't see anyone else, no hogs no hunters. There are plenty of Hunters for each day of the week if anyone wants to keeps the hogs away, just post on line or at gun range, and run background check, free security guards.

I wish all my neighbors would run all there's to my place. I love em and could hunt em everyday, don't care if they run off the deer. I'd trade em their hogs for my deer anyday and I got a ton of hogs. I only hunt em when I need one and feed year round so they stay I put out pig pipes and corn on water, make em real comfy so they will stay.

1+ on the sows, they get the first shot. I have always tried for sows first and double tap center mass when running and they never return.
