I am finally to the point of my horse trading and swapping to put a scope on my AR project. I can't swing and EOTech or cool night vision.

Whats out there in the $150-$200 range used that I should look for? A decent shoot a varmit, pig, coyote or even Zombie at a 100 yards type a deal.

Save your pennies, buy once cry once. It's a matter of 200 not 2000

Primary Arms has decent stuff. I hear lots of good things. I myself am close to trying out their 3x magnifier. I use an Aimpoint micro T-1, but cant see spending 500 on 3x magnification.

SWFA has great deals on used scopes. Also, the Nikon Prostaff is a $100 - $150.00 scope new and they work great.

I've been eye balling this things for a while for a 9mm carbine I ordered.

http://swfa.com/Vortex-1x30-StrikeFire-Red-Dot-30mm-Sight-P11251.aspx

From what I've read online, while it's not as nice as an Aimpoint or Eotech and has all the fancy features, people seem to like it alot and think it's great bang for your buck.

Decent review of the Strikefire here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDp-EvgnC94

At a slightly higher price point I would highly recommend the Millet DMS.

The 4x magnification and reticle give you plenty of preceision at 100 yards and you may be surprised at what you can do around 200. Crank it down to 1x and you can still play with your AR the way they should be played with and shoot with both eyes open. It also plays well with the EWT kill lights...

The link below includes a one-piece mount.

Another vote for SWFA. I ordered 3 scopes off the Sample List at a substantial savings, all in 'Demo-B' condition. 2 had no noticeable blemishes, the third just had ring marks and a small scratch, and the glass was perfect on all of them.
