Hello,

I have a problem with a coyote who comes regularly to my fence at night and "greets" our bulldogs... I have tried foot traps , cages , and even some makeshift snares but he is to d*** smart!!! I can not use a rifle with neighbors behind us and this coyote must go.

Does anyone have any helpful solutions or advice?

I'd get a .22 cal air gun and put one in his ear.

He is savvy to that already. It seems like everything I do he spooks and comes back the next night.

Set up something to hold him in the area. I'd tie a beef bone or some other bait down so he can't drag it off. When the Bulldog begins barking, stick a pellet gun out the back door and pop him in the noggin.

To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

Good plan. I suggest filming this as well.

Coyotes have been crazy lately. I shot six last year, and still had three in my yard yesterday morning. Two made it out of range, one got a taste of .17 HMR. He made it a couple of hundred yards to my horse pasture and I have been watching for his buddies to start thinking he might be tasty. I think all the drilling in my area has been pushing them around. Between owls, skunks, and coyotes my hens have had a bad couple of years and I am starting to get worried about my wife's goats.

22lr with super calibre. They are quieter than most air rifles
Try talking to the neighbours and see if they are cool with the use of a shotgun.

Last year two yotes killed a calf that was just a few hours old. One distracted the momma cow while the other did the dirty work. Havent seen any in the pasture this year but hear them at night.

I shoot them with my Airgun and it drops them dead in their tracks with a head shot out to 80 yards. It's quiet and I take it to the blind so I can shoot coyotes and hogs without s arming the deer away.

I thought everyone that used the pcp high powered airguns were full of it too but it's a lot of fun seeing what some if the new ones can do. They are also not the price as when I was growing up but shooting larger animals with them and watching them drop dead is pretty amazing. It also doesn't scare the deer away and ruin a hunt because its quiet.
