I have a 12 gauge Stoeger that I use for close up shots varmint hunting. The full choke it came with is alright but I am wanting to find a better one to keep the pattern a little tighter and not have to worry about those 60 yard shots. Any suggestions on a better choke tube? I usually just use 3 inch turkey shells and they do just fine. Any better shells that are not too expensive?

I use the same gun and choke. Try #4 buckshot in a 3" shell it works wonders .

Thank y'all for the advice! I'm going to try the buckshot out for sure and possibly look into the extra full choke. I have had those 60 or 70 yards shots that they got away, just want to make sure they don't get away next time.

Pattern master choke tubes are awsome. And you will like the #4buck i hardly shoot 00 or 000 anymore...the 4s just melt them

Ya I agree dead coyote is kind of expensive for me. So what do y'all think about #4 buckshot and carlson choke or should I just try the #4 buckshot first and see what happens?

It's expensive alright but it's worth it to me. I thought the same thing with at first but when 4 buck wouldn't anchor them, swapped to dead coyote and it anchored them.
I would go ahead and get the choke either way

dont know if its the best for 4 buck, but it should work. Works real good with the dead coyote. One thing about the dead coyote is it will work out to 70-80 yards, 4 buck i would not go over 40. I popped one with 4 buck at 15 yards sitting on top of a round bale. I did a back flip and then took off, never found him. That was on a good shot, we have made some bad shots on running dogs withe dead coyote and it hids a lot harder and will knock down. Have hade to put another shot in them to finish them but its with them down from the first

Well I finally got the Carlson's Coyote choke and I got to try it out the other night. I got a grey fox at about 60 yards with a 3 inch turkey #4 lead. After skinning the fox there were plenty off bb's that had hit. Next trip out I am going to try out #4 buck, hopefully on a coyote.
