Anyone who has owned cats has at least one good story. Unfortunately there are the feral cat stories also.

Growing up I had dogs and my sister had cats. I think me and my sister faught more than they did. lol... Nothing wrong with helping out the least of creatures especialy if they are hungry, but as I hear it. "Cats don't get lost, they leave when they get tired of you" that came from a cat lover.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

My favorite Doonsbury cartoon showed 2 cats sitting next to the front door with a woman headed off to work. One cat looks at the other and says, "She's My Outside Human, But I Let Her Stay In At Night."

We got a couple cats runnin around our camp. They wont let us get close to em so we dont bother em. We're just glad they keep the mice away. Nobody knows where they came from either.

Neat story. Maybe it was a dog that came back reincarnated as a cat.

Neat story. I never considered myself a cat person but one adopted us for about 2 years and about the time he kinda grew on me he just left. Cats are strange but cool.

Good Job man. My buddies used to give me grief over having a couple cats. When I was a kid I had almost a whole school year where I was home sick. My grandmother had a cat and I stayed at her house during the day. That ol Maine Coon hated everybody except me. It would would hang out with me. Didn't do anything but just hang out. My grandmother told me something that year that has stuck ever since.
Dogs have a master.

Sounds like someone dropped off their cat to get rid of it. We have feral cats in the neighborhood and they don't make a sound and you can't get within 10yds of them.

What is not to like about cats? (1) They go hunting everyday. (2) They are basically just little bitty women in tiny fur coats.

It's okay to admit you are really a big softy cmc. BTW, my wife and I have a cat. Once you own one, they really grow on you. They definately have their own unique personality. I have fed many strays in my day.

If I didn't have two cat zapping greyhounds and two equally inclined whippets, we'd have a cat. I brought my last cat to Nigeria to live with me. She died over here two years ago. Buried her in the back yard.

Great story - your man card won't be revoked. Enjoyed the truck ride story and it coud have been worse - that calico could've crapped all over you & everything else in your cab. Here's a stray we took in one cold, snowy morning over 10 years ago as a kitten. They can grow on you.

I like to occasionally play with kittens (somebody elses) but they grow up into cats and having a bad past history with cats, I don't want any around where I live, inside or outside.

I've got a cat who thinks she is one of my 7 dogs. They will chase any stray cat that comes on the place but have been a buddy with this cat ever since she showed up as a kitten. My Gordon Setter even bathes her and carried her around in her mouth when the cat was still little. Our female Chow dog does the same.

Built out here in the wood several years ago and was covered in copperheads. Moved the wifes cats (4) we had rescued as kittens along the way to place after we finished and no more live copperheads. Find the snakes but beat and tore all to heck. The little one (2 years old) got bit a year ago and wised him up. No more playing, straight for the kill.

Got quail on your place?? Think a cat will not take a few?? Think again. I would rather put up with a few mice and keep my quail...

Most cats hate to ride in vehicles. Buddy in high school had a siamese and would just sit there and pant. Only time I ever saw a cat pant.
