Thought this was a funny picture of a curious doe at the feeder. She may have figured out how to jump up there and nudge it to knock feed out but I think she is just checking it out. I think the semi-transparent image of the walking deer to the left must be a double exposure of the same deer.

I think she is running off that other doe. They stand up like that to fight.

I see them doing that all the time and they are usually the dominate doe running off the others.
I had a similar picture off my camera today.

I think she is running off that other doe. They stand up like that to fight. This ^^^^^^ I have also seen does stand up on their hind legs and kick each other and that thought crossed my mind but I really don't think that is what is going on here. Could be, but I'm pretty certain she is looking at that feeder and that other image is not even another doe but a double exposure of the same doe.

How do you get double exposure on a digital camera?

How do you get double exposure on a digital camera? It's not technically a "double exposure" by the textbook photographer's definition but more of a "long exposure". You can get shots like that with a digital when your subject moves quickly before the exposure is up. Then you get two images of the same subject as you can see with the doe. That's why the image of the doe to the left appears trasparent and you can see the grass behind her because it was exposed before the doe moved from being on her hind legs looking at that feeder. I have several like that of my dog jumping in the air to catch a ball... Crouched on the ground looking at the ball then airborn after she jumped.

I don't believe the does legs are long enogh to hit the feeder from where she is standing. I stand by my first observation.

the one walking away is a spirit doe. it's haunting someone that had that lease at one time that shot it and didn't go look for it because it didn't fall right down and they didn't look for blood and the deer went to waste. if you see it again, tell it in a low voice that you're not the culprit and to please go on and let you hunt in peace. that's why the other doe is so scared and reared up in fright.

I'm with maximum except the land has been my granparents' for over 35 years and never leased... Would have had to be one of the neighbors shot the ghost... But, their house is seriously haunted though... Pesky spook movin stuff around all the time. Haha
don k- the doe wouldn't jump up and kick the feeder but rather stand on her hind legs and nudge it with her nose or tongue the corn in the thrower to get it out. Only Chuck Norris can roundhouse kick my deer feeder. Everybody knows that!

Not saying the doe couldn't be knocking the corn out, but see that alot around feeds usually going after other does or fawns.
I get the "ghost" looking and blurred pictures often too. They often look transparent, but not because they were taken at an earlier time like a double exposure but because they were moving.

Who knows, I wasn't watching in person when it happened. Yeah it's because of movement.

maybe the culprit was a poacher that shot the ghost doe, and got scared off and let it lay instead of carrying it off and using it. you can tell the doe rearing up is skeered big time . . . lookit dem ears. . .

If that were the case there would be a ghost poacher running around too. The old man knows all and sees all...

She's a long way from that feeder. Agree with her running off another doe. Don't think that's a long exposure with the clarity between her and the other doe.
