I am thinking the same genetics but different deer to be 14 years old. Some of the 7.5's we have seen have little to no teeth to chew with

It's Kryptek's new Highlander Pattern, and it's awesome gear! Just as effective as Sitka (if not more so) for half the cost. The jacket I have on is the Cadog Shield Jacket and the pants are Cadog as well, but the Alaios Pants are great for warmer weather hunting. You can find their gear at: www.GotHuntsGear.com

So yall videod him in 03/04 at 5 years old then saw him again 5 years later and didnt shoot him because you were scared he was only 4?
Congrats! Nice trophy and Ill stop now, its just hard to process the thought process going into it.
Deer of a lifetime. In his story at the top he says the deer was actually 10 years old but body wise he looked 4 years old. He did not shoot because he thought the deer was only a 4 year old buck and did not want to make the mistake of shooting a 4 year old buck.

Congrats Trever Glad you finally got him. He will make an awesome mount. Thank you... I'm going to do a pedestal mount. I'm going to try to find a big dead bull mesquite tree to use as the base and if I can't find it, I'm just going to have the base be made from polished mesquite wood and have him coming off of a nice piece of natural dead mesquite. I'll post a picture when it's done!
