I have a Ruger .44 black powder old army, has had the >45 conversion cylander for the .45 colt. Do they make the clips to be able to shoot the .45ACP? Or, is that possible. I was told they make them for the ruger .38/.357 to be able to shoot .9mm

It depends on the gun. Ruger made some 38/357 that came with a different cylinder for use with half moon clips for the 9mm. Do not know of one for the 45ACP but then again there are lots of things I do not know.

I'm confused also. I have the Ruger Blackhawk with .45 Colt and .45 acp cylinders, but 45 for 44?

We're talking about a .44 cap-and-ball revolver here. The ball diameter is actually .454 inch.

I understand that, many of the old cap and balls were later converted to cartridge, I just want to see the conversion.
