Great Tournament and lots of fun. Can guarantee our team will be there again, same as previous years. Guys if y'all are looking for a good tournament to start out the New year off with, this is it! Even if you don't win the tournament there are plenty of real good prizes in the drawings and the payouts if you win the tournament, believe me, I think you would be happy with the payouts that I've seen from prev. years.

One week away, weathers gonna be good.
I'm trying to donate this year $500 to local scholarship, and $1000 to Hunt for Heroes.

Talked to devil_dawg and the donations will be from the different raffles that are there not from the pot.

Great tourney. We had a blast.

Only turned in 1 yote. I can tell you one thing, if we could shoot, we would have been in the $$$.

Ive never seen so many misses in my life. We saw over 50 yotes. Between misses, not being ready, and spotlight malfunction we should have done better.

We landed a new property with over 8000 acres and plenty of dogs on it. It has never been hunted for anything. We called in 15 yotes defore dark. We had 2 that nearly ran us over. It was crazy...both sets we were watching a dog work in from about 300 yds out and next thing you know another one blows by 100mph and dang near trips over our feet. It was insane.

So lessons learned.
1)Be more prepared to shoot and carry a shotgun
2) make sure we have plenty of batteries for spotlight
3) Bring more food for ourselves
4) get plenty of rest before the tourney.

This was our 1st tourney to enter and we will be back next year and plan on winning it next year.

Ha FoxTrot sounds like y'all had a good time, we too only turned in one yote. Our first call after dark had a fox and a yote come in at the same time and guess what, didn't get either lol. Fox came around the brush we were next to and couldn't get a shot on it, then the yote was a little farther out and stopped broadsided, pretty shot but missed it with both shots lol. Curt your missing a good time, the tournament is still growing. We had 117 teams last year and 121 teams this year. Although this was the first year that they shut hwy 77 down for us to pull out though, which made it nice. Ready for next year already!!

2013 payouts and prizes

1st-$4840
2nd-$2420
3rd-$1815
4th-$1210
5th-$605
Heavy bobcat-$540
Heavy fox-$530
Heavy coyote-$550
Mangy coyote-$545

Raffled one gun and yeti, hit our $1500 mark for charity. Still have not gotten ahold of the guy for Hunt For Heroes to donate, but if we don't get ahold of him then we will donate to Wounded Warriors.
Gave away knives and flashlights to all the youth that participated, and a select few of youth won homemade deer leather lanyards, made by Ronnie Stone. Gave three guns, another yeti, 9 e-callers and about $800 in smaller prizes, just for entering in competition.
