I have never been out in the afternoons, but with my work schedule this week i might be able to make it happen.
Any tips about afternoon hunts? about what time do yall set up? do you conduct business the same way you do in the morning?
any tips would be helpful.

You would need to hunt a location that has food.

I do, but I do whats called Jump Shooting...you gotta be stealthy and have alot of cover around the areas you are stalking in on, but the idea is to crawl, crouch, prone, and slither (any other stealthy tactics) to sneak in to the water source that they are sitting on...takes alot of practice to get it down. I was told go slow and when you think you are going slow enough, slow down about half speed of that. Very fun. Once you get close enough (or when you get busted) its alot like shooting flushed pheasant. And sometimes if you are in enough heavy cover after you have spooked them, if you crouch down and get hid good, sometimes they will come back and land again...giving you and shot or two as you bust them up again...good luck
If we aren't supposed to eat the animals, then why did God make them out of meat?

Generally its not as good. Not every spot that works in the morning will produce in the evenings.
The worst is that shooting hours end at sunset, and the birds will start to pour in right after that. Set an alarm on your phone for end of legal, because you will have birds working at that time.

and fyi...it works best on small ponds and creeks and flooded timber than it does on larger lakes and bodies of water

True but some would also say hunting a pond or sheet water on private land is'nt either. The birds are going there no matter what. Public is hunting. Everyone has their own idea of what is fun though, that's what makes the world go around.
