Reason why Im asking is, Damn I froze this past saturday. My waders work just fine, but any recommendations on a Wetlands Camo WATERPROOF jacket? I'd prefer something that you can wear in layers but as of now I am open to anything. My price range is between 100.00-500.00 Thanks for the help.

I recommend anything with PVC in it.

Don't do PVC...get something breathable or you will sweat to death doing stuff. I like the Columbia Wigeon Wader jacket. I have never been wet in that jacket and it is far warmer than you will need most days. The shell can be used alone and I promise you'll never be wet unless you don't zip it all the way up and the hood drips water down the front....don't ask me how I know I have a Drake 4/1 and the Columbia is better.

Honestly, for the price, Cabelas stuff is pretty good. Ive never had them leak and the hood is connected to the jacket, not zipped.

Herter's FoulTech Jacket from Cabelas. Great for layering up, has elastic cuffs, and hood is huge.

Drake is good stuff, I also own a "cavansback 4 in 1" from BPS.
I have a mix of both brands (drake/BPS) on gear it holds up really well and will keep you dry and warm.
On a side note I've worn this gear soaking wet in <30 degrees with 20MPH N wind and it will still keep you warm even when it's wet.
I like the "4 in 1s" because you can adjust to different weather types quickly, I only use the 1 coat all season long. Of course I layer my clothes depending on weather as well.

I don't have problems with getting wet in my Drake Jacket. It rained on us yesterday morning and I stayed dry.

I've used a combination of both Drake and Cabela's in lots of rain and haven't gotten wet with either. If you pay attention, you can get some really good deals on the Cabela's items this time of year.

I use Under Armour cold grear under my waders and that seems to work well for me, I also wear neoprene glove gauntlets. If it is raining I wear an old rain poncho. That works for me...

I'm partial to my Drake wader jacket. Very comfortable. I just bought it this year so I can't speak to it's durability yet. They run about $250.

Bass pros house brand (redhead) makes a jacket or parka called the canvasback...amazing.
They also have bibs as well which are just as good.
Water just beads up and slides right off.
I'm beyond picky when it comes to waterproof gear, when I take out clients I have no choice but to be out there. If its pouring rain and they want to hunt until 10am then Ive gotta do that...this gear has never let me down yet.

You dont need to spend at the top of your range ($500) to get good stuff. Also you are on the right track with layering. I have a $130 Cabela's waterproof waterfowl shell jacket - uninsulated - that I wear for everything. Its wind and waterproof and has good pockets and thumbholes. I wear a Kryptek fleece that I got for $35 on sale last summer. Just as good as this is the free fleece I got for re-upping my DU membership this year. The UA or Cabelas longjohns are the bomb and add another layer if needed for really cold. I would spend way more $ on quality hats and gloves if all the offerings weren't all crap. Nothing's warm if your melon is not covered.
With all the "dry" fibers out there today there is no reason to be cold anymore...

I have the Drake 3 in 1, and it did not let me down on Sunday. Boat ride in a down pour and then sitting in the blind for 4 hours of pretty good rain and did not get wet. I did expose some flaws once my gloves got soaked. The pockets are hard to get your hands (without gloves) in and out when wet. My hands kept sticking to the fabric. May have just been I had no dexterity due to my hands being frozen, but none the less that was the only problem Ive had with mine. Second season using it for deer and ducks, and I would reccomend it to anyone.
Now I just need to find a glove that will hold up to the elements.

Here is a page of closeouts with some decent prices... http://www.sierratradingpost.com/mens-hunting-and-camo-jackets~d~366/?perPage=96 These guys are pretty cheap also. There is a Duck Commander 4 in 1 waterproof wader jacket for $129. It has a GoreTex like membrane in it that works great in the rain and appears to be insulated well. http://txfowlers.com/duck_hunting_jackets.aspTX Fowlers is located in Houston so if you don't want to pay for shipping, you can go to their store. Great company and they stand by what they sell and are good on returns if it does not fit.

I wear Drake Waterfowl or Beretta Xtrema gear. Both are durable and hold out the water.
As mentioned by another member, layer with non-waterproof clothing (fleece and poly is good), and keep a waterproof jacket handy for rain or boating to your hunting spot (blocks the chill of the wind).
My favorite Drake Waterfowl gear are my Eqwader 1/4-zip camo pullovers. They are warm and block wind/light rain.

I have the Redhead canvasback jacket and I wear it running my bass boat to the spots I hunt. I usually run up to 52 mph and I don't feel the wind! It's very warm. Now I haven't had the opportunity to use it in the rain yet but after 52 mph in 20 degree weather I'm sold! It cost me 170 I believe so it's a fair price for the quality.

Under Armor has come out with a water fowl jacket that is awesome. I wear that as my outer layer, on top of a under armor hoodie and cold gear tights. My upper body has yet to be cold this year, even the weekend that the dog was breaking through ice to get into the water.
