Thanks to all TPWD and the draw hunt system. I managed to get a boar(big cheeks) and a sow at San Angelo this weekend.

My model 70 Winchester in 06 will soon be 40 years old and still hunting.
30-06 case next to the cutters.

Good Job. 30.06 is a whole lot of gun for a little stink pig. I did not know there were javelina in the area.

It's the time spent in God's creation with family and friends making memories that counts.

Did they just recently move into Angelo? I hunted there for 10 years and never saw one.

I'm not sure how long the Javelina have been there or if they were stocked. It was a draw hunt with TPWD at San Angelo State Park. I hunted one afternoon and saw about 20 animals.

I thought rifle hunting wasn't allowed in San Angelo? Were you allowed to because it was a fraw hunt? Not really familiar with the process.
