How effective are these at holding deer? I feed corn through out the season but once it ends (which isn't til feb 14th for us) I stop feeding. Would mineral licks or blocks be a smart choice?

They usually won't eat them if they don't need them unlike corn. Couldn't hurt to put them out in case they need it

I don't think they hold them around but mine will use them fairly quick. I use trophy rocks.

I've had the mineral blocks out for two years and with the drought they use them pretty frequently at our place,IMO they are using them!

I used an apple flavor block once that was gone quick. I think it was made by Purina. Got it at the feed store, about 7 or 8 dollars.

I've heard a lot of good things about those.

I have a protein block at all 3 of my feeders directly in front of each camera. I have only seen deer lick it a handful of times, and mostly just does/fawns.
Are they a good supplement...yes. Do they hold in more deer....IMO not at all

I like the blocks from Academy at my feeders and I use trace mineral blocks that I bury around 95% down by my food plots. I add water to the mineral blocks. Mine get used quit a bit. It all depends on whether your place is lacking certain minerals if they use them much.

Deer need feed all the time. They need mineral sometimes.

How about don't stop feeding them and buying some protein feeder to fill up for them?
Shhhhhhhh better to be quiet than remove all doubt..
