Well after not shooting a band for 13 years after I shot my first one when I was 8, I've hit a pay streak. This one makes number 2 for the season and my 3rd for the calendar year. I shot a banded greenhead in mid January last year and a pintail this past December. Enjoy.

And mottled duck drake from this morning. We had a pretty good hunt to boot and shot some stud blue wings. We had them saved on a clump of grass to mount but when my buddy came back to pick us up on the fourwheeler he ran em over...





Here is a picture my buddy sent me of his limit the day before. Every one of this blue wings went into the wax pot.

Buddy shot a nice one down in corpus this week too. All up and down the beaches. Congrats on that banded mottled. Searched all over for them but had to settle for some redheads and buffleheads instead lol.

i've been looking everywhere for a nice BWT for the wall to complete my teal slam. the place i normally hammer the blues is covered in nothing but GWT. missed a single BWT last week and everything else that came in was green. fortunately bagged a banded mottled as well. congrats on the awesome blues. one jealous hunter here

The BWT have returned. We have been shooting them the last couple of weeks. Nothing prettier than a nice plumed BWT.

Only teal I've seen anywhere close to these posted have been in pics.

we haven't shot a single bwt all season! i dunno if they just dont like hangin out with all the other ducks in our duckhole... or what.... but hey you know where theyre at! good lookin flock ya got there!
