Thanks,

Lifetime Licenses

Residents may buy hunting and fishing licenses valid for the lifetime of the license holder. The lifetime license exempts the holder from all state stamp endorsement requirements other than the Reptile and Amphibian Stamp Endorsement. It does not exempt the holder from the Federal Duck Stamp requirement. Beginning August 15th of each license year, existing lifetime license holders may obtain current year tags immediately, at no fee, at any one of our license agents located across the state.

I do not think the public land permit is included but stamps are included.

It was a much better deal when they were $1000 for the combo. Now that they are $1800, it doesn't make as much sense to get one.

I'm glad I got it when I did...I bought a lifetime license for both Texas and Arkansas so I am set for life!

Gift for a youth of a lifetime license is one of the best gifts you can give. Gave one to my oldest Nephew one for Christmas for Mississippi when he was 11 he didn't really know its worth then but now that he is 29 he sure appreciates it.

Something Mississippi does with lifetime license that I wish Texas did is if bought before the age of 12 the price is half what it costs an adult.

I have a lifetime as well. All state stamps are included but you still have to buy the $48 APH permit and ask for Federal Sandhill Crane permit (free). Make sure you get HIP certified.

Hunting/Fishing Stamp Endorsements
Beginning September 1, 1996 all Lifetime License holders, regardless of when their license was purchased are
exempt from the upland, migratory, archery, freshwater and saltwater state stamp endorsements. This
exemption does not include the Reptile and Amphibian Stamp and Federal Duck Stamp.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.
