has anyone used this cheap feeder, the Nudge by wildgame. it just has the bucket with a "stick" for the deer to nudge and drop the corn out? Do they work....good or bad info? i wonder if they would work with protein

Never used a commercial one but I have used home built ones. I they work fine for corn but I think that you would have moisture problems with protein. As soon as there is a dew or even heavy humidity the protein is going to swell and clog everything up.

I tried one last year. Bucket hung all season with completely full of corn. I ended up dumping the corn on the ground. Suprised me though, we used to always hang buckets with a slot cut and folded back on the bottom edge where they could lick the corn out and always had good luck with them. For some reason the deer last year liked it better on the ground.

I don't have too much experience with it, I guess it just depends on how your deer act about stuff like that. I personally wouldn't trust it very much.
