While I still can't find much ammo I have seen AR15s back out. Local Walmart had 5 and a gun shop in town got 1 in. All of the above are marked at the pre hype price or close to it. Local academy had Pmags 1 per customer at $14.99. It's slowing down around here a little. Ammo is still hard to find.

I was able to pick up a couple boxes of remington psp from my local academy today for $19 a box.
Last week they had some winchester fmj available for a day or so at $11 a box. I'm happy with academy. They havent jacked up prices.
I like spoonie, his humor is dryer than my duck lease.

You should buy one from Wally world and put it on gunbroker Yes that's what we should do. Jack the prices up on guns and make sure we keep all the people that want to get into shooting out if they aren't rich. If you don't need something for yourself now, don't buy it. Stop feeding the hysteria.

I didn't understand the huge rush for everyone to go out and clear the shelves in mass hysteria. If a person had been contemplating a purchase I could see grabbing up what you want, but everyone jumping on guns at 2-4 times normal pricing seemed pretty retarded to me. I desire to own an Ar-15, but i'm not going to give current pricing. On the flip side, if some joker wants to pay extreme overpricing, I might as well sell to him because he'll just give the money to someone else.

Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

^^^ I'm just curious as to what East mentioned that would be illegal? Purchasing a firearm with the intention to resale is called a "straw purchase" and it is illegal.

Spoke to a guy at a local Academy today. He said he sold two Bushmasters this morning that came in overnight. He sold them to two guys who had been waiting since 5am for the store to open, not knowing if a truck shipment had even been received last night.
Both were sold at the pre-hype price.

A straw purchase is an illegal firearm purchase where the actual buyer of the gun, being unable to pass the required federal background check or desiring to not have his or her name associated with the transaction, uses a proxy buyer who can pass the required background check to purchase the firearm for him/her. It is highly illegal and punishable by a $250,000 fine and 10 years in prison." source: dontlie.org (a National Shooting Sports website to prevent illegal purchases of firearms) just because he lists it on gunbroker doesn't meant East wouldn't follow the law and do an FFL transfer

I find it wildly entertaining that people who weren't willing to pay $1,000 for a decent AR 6 months ago bc they didn't need one are now willing to pay double that for a cheap AR that they still don't need - and lets not forget the 10,000 rounds of ammo to feed it bc they're gonna stop making it! The herd mentality in our society is sad......how do these people tie their own shoes in the morning?

Not a strawpurchase but still illegal. Now, how do they show intent to resell?
