What are you looking to spend and what are your requirements in the way of "top" yellow stud?
Are we talking top FT yellow stud? Top producer FT stud dog? A Master National qualified yellow stud that's a good producer? Can they be black and throw yellow?
And once you make up your mind on what kind "specifically", of top yellow stud that you want,,, Are you ready to spend a fortune just to get her bred? Most competitive dogs don't do live cover and you will have to have the semen shipped from across the country which means a lot of time and money on your part trying to get progesterone tests to time the the breeding just right.
Is this a first time breeding or has she had a litter before?? Are all her clearances done?

Isn't "Candlewood" blood yellow? Candlewood had many "bloods". Doesn't necessarily have anything to do with color. Angie

You will get the money back in the puppy price. Not necessarily, not trying to be argumentative, but look at it from this perspective.... You find "the top yellow stud dog in the nation", and if the stud dog owner agrees to do the breeding, keep in mind, they can refuse any breeding and if they don't see a benefit to doing the breeding for them, then there is a good chance they won't. If the female isn't titled, a proven producer of nice FT dogs or Upper level hunt test dogs, or has a fabulous pedigree, then what is their benefit. FT/HT people aren't going to purchase a pup from an unproven female with a weak pedigree. So, let's say you go with what I think is the top producing male right now, Grady. Grady's stud fee, last I checked for females without upper level titles is $2500.00. If the stud owner agrees to this breeding, like Mrs. Becker mentioned, now you have to pay for the PTs, shipping semen, and the surgical implantation. So now you are looking at probably a $500 non-refundable deposit, shipping costs which I can't recall how much those were, the progesterone tests run me $100.00 a piece, and I think the surgical is an easy $1,000.00. So now you are at least $2,000 in the hole. Now you are going to charge stud fee amount per pup right or at least $1500.00 per pup right to cover the stud fee balance? Who's your customer base? If I am going to spend $1,000.00 for a pup or $1,500, I am going to make dang certain the dam is going to be proven and at the very least she is going to be FC/AFC Sired, if not, like I said she is going to have to be proven and have a really nice pedigree... Not trying to be a jerk, but just saying. Not to mention the OP is looking for the top yellow stud that throws light yellow pups.......

You will get the money back in the puppy price. Are you kidding??? No way no how.... If you're not in the loop on labs,,, doesn't matter what you breed or to whom. Angie

I understand the expense... I am trying to get into breeding well bred pups.... I am wanting to keep a white or light yellow female. I'm looking to spend about 1000-1500 on stud fee. My female has all of her clearances. She throws smart puppies but right now my customer base is mainly pets or personal hunting companions. She is out of pointing lines. Right now her sire is SHR.. I'm not sure if they're going further..
By top yellows, I'm looking for a proven producer. I'm looking for some names to be thrown out there so I can check them out..... I'm having trouble finding a "white" American styled sire. They are all English with showing lines.. I want to find that color in an American style lab. I love the look of Grhrch blaze, but I want him to be white!
I know it might sound picky, I'm just trying to find exactly what i want

I 2nd this statement However, in one sentence you state that you want to breed well bred pups and in the next you say that you want to start a white or a light yellow line. What you're wanting to do is make a "designer" dog, if you will. You'd not be breeding for intelligence. You'd not be breeding for clearances. You'd not be breeding to better the breed. You'd be breeding for a color, only a color because you want the white "polar bear" puppy. Personally, I don't think that is benefitting or making the breed better. That's a huge problem in my book.

I know it might sound picky, I'm just trying to find exactly what i want If you're looking to breed healthy, intelligent, calm, good looking pets, I would go with a CH/MH. A FC would be more dog then you need in the activity department. Though I do know FC Homer in Valley View throws a more laid back dog, but a soft dog. That's an idea. I've just used Deep Runs Casablanca out of NH, on one of my bitches. He needs a major win for his CH and 1 more pass for a master hunter. FWIW Angie

Shes looking for a dog that throws lighter yellows, in my litter with Homer I got plain ol' yellows.... It depends on how light the bitch is and what she throws? I've had moderate yellow bitches throw a very light dog when bred to a black CH/MH. That way I still had good pigment. Angie

Look at Skeeter's pedigree. He is one of the top running competitive dogs in FT's.

Thanks you guys... I'm trying to breed well bred pups, but I want them to be a light yellow and not dark. It looks like in Show lines people breed for the light color coat, but I don't see it in the hunting lines! That's why I thought I would ask ya'll because ya'll may have seen more dogs that I have and may know just the right one. I don't want to breed for just color, I want to breed both. That's why I'm looking for the perfect dog. And that's why I asked for the top dogs in competition right now, or proven producers of those so that maybe I could find it. I did find one that was pretty 4XGMPR HRCH Clouds Bold Bear of Nereus SH http://www.huntinglabpedigree.com/studdog.asp?id=24313

You don't want dogs with pink lips and nose... Also I would stay away from the pointing lab stuff that is unless you wanted to breed pointing labs. There are much better specimens out there to be used. Has your bitch thrown light yellow before? Angie
