Hi, I bought this Model 700 two years ago and scraped it pretty good this past deer season as you can see in the pic. Any tips on repairing that? Just sand it and paint it? Is it a particular kind of pain?

it's the varnish on the finish. This a common problem with CDL's, my 30-06 did they same thing.
