Made my second trip to Arkansas this last weekend. Hunted 3 days. I was able to take my brother, Dad, and one of my Dad's good friends. My Dad and his friend are the ones that got me into the sport years ago. It was kinda neat to be able to put them on a hunt that they will remember for a long time. We hunted Friday up north and everything was pretty much iced over. We saw very few birds so we packed up and head further south to get away from the ice. That payed off for us. The next two days we smacked em good. Tons of birds and they were working great. We pretty much took turns shooting greenheads when they fell into the hole. There is nothing like that timber hunting. If you haven't made the trip...you are missing out for sure. We hunted all public land.

I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

The guys that started dragging me into the river bottoms 20 years ago.

Day one resulted in 4 limits of greenheads.

Day 2 started a little slower due to the heavy fog.

My brother and I with our limits of greenheads with a couple of woodies on day 2.

I got a little extra suprise on my bonus duck. This was the icing on the cake for the trip.

This was a trip we will remember for a long time.

It means I'm lucky. Broke a 3 year dry spell.

Great shoots!
Gonna do our best to replicate your success this weekend.
We're hunting the 'timber' on the property near the river I showed you last year.

Judging from the boat ramp you would have thought it would be very crowded. Saturday and Sunday we had one group within a quarter mile of us. We left just after the boat race both mornings.

Man that's awesome. Funny how it gets like that, with all the gossip everyone follows each other around.
