If we know who shot it they get it. If not the last guy in the group gets it. I've given the last 10 to guys with me and when we enter online you can put multiple recipients for certificates.

Flip a coin if two or more people think they shot it.

I gotta stop being nice. I've had 2 gads, 2 pins, 1 redhead where I let my guest shoot solo that were banded.

Footrace to the truck after the hunt. Barefoot is optional.

Footrace to the truck after the hunt. Barefoot is optional. If there is a dispute on who got it, its usually settled in some sort of contest like this. Worst I ever competed in was who could stand in the river the longest (in minnesota in single didgit temps) with nothing but underware on. That was a cold one. I lost.
We interrupt this marriage for hunting season.

I guide and have only kept one band shot on a trip. The old man said he didnt care anything about that kind of stuff. I told him I would mount the bird and did. He said they all taste the same even with those bands on them. He was giving me hell. It was a cool thing giving me that bird.

If you invite me to your private pond and I shoot a banded duck, I would give it to you. I just appreciate the invite.

Group shoot and no one knows...goes to owner of the property if private. If it's between two people...coin toss.

Pick up the bird, break the leg, pull the band off, don't say a word. It's simple..

Pick up the bird, break the leg, pull the band off, don't say a word. It's simple.. I have known that to happen. I even got a call after we shot 4 banded snows. I left and the outfitter called me madder than a wet hen. He thought I took the bands when they weren't looking. I kept telling him, "that aint my style". His workers finally gave up the ghost and said they were pulling a fast one on him.

If we know who shot it, that person gets it. Otherwise, it goes to a coin flip.
And just a heads up for you guys talking about breaking legs...
If you are field hunting for geese, just slip your boot lace between the leg and band, then pull. It pops right off. For this reason, I wear lace up wading boots.
I like spoonie, his humor is dryer than my duck lease.

Goes to whoever shot it. We try not to shoot at the same birds. If there's any doubt, it goes to whoever's dog made the retrieve.

Pick up the bird, break the leg, pull the band off, don't say a word. It's simple.. Well that explains all the one-legged ducks I shoot. Dammit Taylor!!!!!
