Looking for feedback on this one-I have Springfield XD in .45, I want something smaller that I can conceal in summer clothing that will still pack a punch.

I like the option to load with 38 special to shoot at the range and for my wife to practice with, but would carry the magnum loads. I also like double action with no exposed hammer.
This seems to be the way to go, looking for other similar options or feedback on this particular pistol.

Also, anyone know of a shop that has deals on one in the east DFW area? Thanks!

Kicks like a mule with .357 mag rounds. However, .38 rounds are not a big deal. It shoots well, is surprisingly accurate for having such a short barrel. Also, the trigger pull is noticeably smooth. Definitely a good one to have in the safe and on the hip.

agree with sic'em, the 357 can be shot but is no fun. I got mine locally, might try Buds.

Thanks-I figured something that small would kick in.357. My dad has a S&W model 10 .38 spl that is a breeze to shoot, just seems a no brainer to give yourself the option rather than but the .38 model, though.

Great deal of difference between a 357 mag from a LCR and a 38 spl from a S&W M10.

it is the illusion of knowledge.--Stephen Hawking

I bet there is, my point was why not get the .357, then have the ability to shoot .38 special, let my wife use it with .38, etc, and I could also carry with .357 loads as opposed to buying a .38 special model.

Definitely go with the .357 if you're going to get one. As you said, no point in buying a strictly .38 model when you could have the option shoot .38 and .357 mag.

The 357 LCR is a little harder to find than the 38, but I think I would wait for a 357 to become available....In fact, that is what I am doing....
