i'm going hog hunting outside of decatur this week and was wondering if the hogs are plenty or not. its going to be my first time to hog hunt. a friend from work is taking me to his family's ranch and he says it backs up to the grasslands. just seeing what ya'll thought i might see or is there is an abundance up there.
i hunt food, not trophies!

Best bet is to ask your friend. Some units have hogs and some do not.

There are lots of hogs around Decatur. Problem is they move a LOT. Not too sure about the grasslands, but there are a couple units I've been to this time of year where I ran into a WALL of scent. Didn't try to go in after 'em because I didn't have a turbocharged bobcat with tree cutter with me at the time-LOL!
