Any one ever hunted public land in Missouri? Thought about trying this out next year and was wondering if anyone ever done it before.

The further from KC or STL you get the better. But, still very high hunter to land ratio. Crowded

Go north and east. Every year when I am in Pike County, Il we will cross the river in Louisiana, MO to go to the store.(cheaper). We always talk to guys who hunt around there an usually have really good luck. I have seen some giants that have came from public land near the river. Best of luck to you.

Had friends from east texas get on a lease in north Missouri this past year and they had really good luck. It was only $1000 each for bow hunting only. Maybe you should try to get a lease instead of public hunting.

Take a kid hunting or fishing - it might be the highlite of their life.
