I'm in the market for some good nv nocs. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice on what to get or stay away from? I have never bought anything nv and have only looked through a few pair of nv nocs in my life. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Bino NV is gonna cost you way more then monoculars
If you have money get Gen 3
You can get cheaper if you are not planning on weapons mount

My advice would be too pass altogether. It's extremely expensive.

I use a set of AN/PVS 7 geniii. The only reason I use this is because its issued at work.

If you are going to get anything, grab a cheap monocular.

Cheap stuff is what I use but be prepared to get an IR illuminator. Gen 1 just doesn't have much light gathering ability. A good IR illuminator really makes a big difference. You won't be totally invisible though as the illuminator has a very faint red glow. The higher the Gen #, the more light gathering capability, better circuits and chips and more money. Gen 1 is 60's era.

I highly recommend Pulsar products, I've bought several & can't be beat for the $$ IMO. Gen 3's are great but expensive & good luck seeing squat if there's no moon. You can get a Pulsar digital NV monocular for around $500 & can see a lot better on a dark night. Only downfall to the digital IMO is it can be a little hard on your eyes after a while vs the Gen 3, but I love the fact that what you see is magnified so a lot easier to tell what is what. I've sat on water holes with a Gen 3 & Pulsar side by side. With the Gen 3 it was hard to tell the difference between a coon & a pig at 75 yrds, not an issue at all with the Pulsar. Just my 2cents
