I passed up a big, old broken up 8 in the middle of the rut, because it was the first time I hunted that spot. I figured my dad could maybe get a shot at him the next day. Never saw him again! I only regret not shooting him cuz he was definitely mature. bang Oh well. It kinda felt good passing up deer this year!

None for me even though I did whiff on a huge WT in Kansas. But I hunted all season and got to sit with my Dad and watch him get a buck.

I passed up several fine bucks, including one late today because they weren't the one I was after. Oh well, got to be with my grandson when he got his first buck though. It ain't all about me killing something anymore.

Oh I have regrets but it'd take too long to post all of them.

None for me. Saw plenty of deer this season and passed up everything I was supposed to pass up.

Wish I'd have gone a couple more times during bowseason.

The buck I was chasing didn't hit opening weekend, but did almost every day for the middle 2 weeks of November.

I sold the property in early Dec, so my season basically ended then.

Same regret as every year-wish I'd had more time in the stand.

Yeah, I found some stuff today checking a cam that made me wish I had hung a climber and hunted the area.

I wish I'd have gotten off the lease I was one last year instead of trying one more year!!!

I passed on a BIG 8 point at my feeder a few weeks ago because I thought I did not have a good shot at him. A bit later, I killed a 9 pt that was not nearly as big. After I got back to camp and watched the video, turns out I did have a pretty decent shot at the 8 after all. Oh. well, I've got a decent 9 pt in the freezer, and I might get a shot at the 8 next year. He should be bigger and better!

No regrets really just dread going back to work tomorrow. I've been off since November 17 and work all year to get to take six weeks off and now back to work to start it all over.

No regets. Very pleased and feel blessed for the buck, two doe, and two hogs that I took this season.

Good show, Dan. Sounds like you had a great season. We had a below average one. They'll be bigger next season though.

Thanks.

The early season had never been slower and I was the exception for our lease. I took the two doe early in the season for landowners who had asked for them. But taking the buck was just a matter of staying after them after most of the guys had given up. In fact, I was the only one hunting when I took the buck and two hogs. I think being the only one hunting, combined with using the legs (walking) and less of the ATV played a role for sure. I did my best to keep things quiet on the lease and it seemed to pay off.

Good season, but I do regret spreading myself a little thin. With a week in NM and a couple hunts at buddies' places I only had 4 days on our place. Not near enough. No big boys taken this year, but 3 culls down so far. I call that a win.

An immature 12 point kept showing up on the game cameras and I saw him once while driving the property. I had my fingers crossed that he would make it through another year, but I found a buck along the side of the road last week with the top of his head sawed off. No bullet holes, appeared to have been hit with a car. I cant be certain, but it sure as hell looks like him. Sad.

This is what I mainly regret. I passed on a very nice 11 pt that was border line AR. He probably would have made it, being he was such a large bodied deer. I had my new to hunting BIL in the stand trying to get him a deer and really didn't want to make a mistake with him in the stand. The buck was only seen once, I feel good about him making it through the season due to the fact that my neighbors are good about not shooting everything that has a set of antlers. I honestly don't see him getting much wider, he was amazingly tall.

I actually regret shooting the deer I did, he was a legal 8 but was in really bad shape. I noticed he was a little gaunt be I had no idea he was as poor as he was. I honestly feel he was injured. Wish I would have passed on him, with no deer in the freezer, a miss that morning, and little time to hunt, he caught a bullet. Oh well, he will eat, just not that good.

It has been a good year for me and I am fortunate enough to have had several places to hunt. I have taken a 10pt in Johnson County, 11pt in Hood County, doe in Johnson County and a doe in Mills County with one more doe to take in Mills with the extended season. HOWEVER my regret is to have fallen under the false impression that I was friends with and had a good relationship with my landowner on the Johnson County place and only to be informed last week that he was going to lease it out from under me for CASH and to have my stuff off by Sunday the 6th. I was bardering survey survices for the hunting privelages for the last three years but this year his construction business has slowed down due to the economy so I guess I did see it coming but I was not given the chance to make an offer or even know what the $ amount he is getting. Oh well. Don't make the mistake that your LO likes you and is your friend. It is about the money boys. Good luck to all next year.
