Anyone ever have any problems with the 6 footers out there? Just set one up (metal moultrie on sale at academy for $88 woot) but it dawned on me while setting it up, the base isn't that much higher than a deer, if not even.

They can get under them or at least stick their heads under them without any problem. I have used the little Moultries and now have a couple of more expensive "stand and fill" type feeders. They use them as much as the taller ones I have.

I've had problems with hogs flipping them over and breaking them. Even when secured to T posts. I got some 7ft Sched. 40 legs which fixed my problem.

I guess you haven't had a problem with them messing up the gears or anything?

I'm not to worried about the hogs tipping them, not much I can do about that as it is and so far they haven't messed with the others on the lease. My luck would be the change to that.
