Thought this was a good one.

A son of a farmer was arrested for robbing multiple banks but unfortunately the money was never found.

One day the farmer wrote his son.

Dear son,
Looks like since I don't gave you here to help me plow up the field I won't be able to plant my potatoes and provide for the family I know if you were here you would help me."

Later the son wrote back. "Dad, don't even try and plow up the field that's where I hid the money!". The cops intercepted the letter and completely dug up the farmers potatoes field but to no avail.

The the farmer received another letter from his son.
Dad,
Now you can plant your potatoes sorry that's all the help I can give.
