I have been haunted by an eight pointer all season. I have plenty of game cam pics of him, usually at night but some, especially during the rut, in day time. I had told my son this was his buck to get. The buck even walked out in front of him Saturday evening after he got out of the stand earlier than he was suppose to. Thus he missed his chance. We came back home Saturday night for church on Sunday then were going to head back to lease. Instead my son decides to stay with a friend and "squirrel hunt" i.e. be lazy. I decided to go on to lease anyhow and got in the stand Monday morning not expecting much. At 8:40 am on the final day of the year he walked out in my lane for the last time.... My 2012 Buck

Appreciate it all. From what I seen before shooting him and how he smelled, he was in a secondary rut. Love, or rather lust, is a dangerous thing. lol
