No problem with that. The thread needed a bump anyway.

Anyone else who hasn't taken a buck yet should feel free to add any buck taken by a friend or family member IF you know for sure the inside spread of the rack. And this is by no means a bragging board since no one knows who shot what.

The results should lead to some good discussion later down the road.

yea it was a hard year. I didn't see one legal buck. only 2 bucks taken off our properties this season. (over 300 acres)

You don't always see something or get a shot. That's why they call it hunting, not killing.

Joshua took an 8 pt that was 15.5 yesterday and Haley took a 14 inch 10 pt the week of Thanksgiving. Our deer have been very nocturnal this year for some reason. It has been pretty slow in Morris county.

He definitely is a shooter but he needs to show his mug during the day. He is smart, only travels from 6pm-5am. I'm guessing he didn't get that big being dumb ! I don't know how to get him to show up during hunting hours. I've tried changing the feeder times, putting different food out, everything. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Brian , the one pic was at 6pm which is right at dark, you need to figure out which way he's coming from and setup about 100 yards away from feeder in the area he is coming from. Maybe then you can catch him with enough daylight still left to shoot.

I think I know where he is coming from, but it is so thick I can't get back there. I tried to go look around back in the brush like 2 weeks ago and I'm still digging thorns out ! We are on about 100 acres with 4 different feeders and he will go to all of them one night then disappear for a few days then pop up again a few days later. I might just have to wait until the season is over and make a trail back there for next year. I don't have a single pic of him during the day, He's a smart one !

Anyone game to take these numbers and determine the median width of the bucks takken? It would seem the median value might be more interesting to know than the average width.

At a glance it should fall somewhere around 14.5, but not sure what those 17+ are.

One like him...you will have to be sitting there at the right time during the Rut when they all loose their smarts...you just have to be there during this time with one that is older and wiser except for that brief time...
