O' and I have not stepped foot in this place since 2008.

I went into the one in FW once since 2008 and did buy a couple boxes of the no powder 22lr loads. Other than that none of my $ has gone to them. None will in the future either.

Gun zone in mesquite has like 8 ar15's on the wall for sale , probably cause they are priced at around 2899$

But they didn't have much else in there, walls were pretty bare and almost no ammo.

They charge that price because they think they can get that price.

Generally they have been correct, it may not be "average joes" doing the buying, but someone is.

I know it is all suppy and demand, heck if I didn't need mine for duty i'd probably selling mine.

Thankful for Cheaper than Dirt, back in October I bought a 44 special and Cabela's, Academy, Dicks and Gander Mnt were out of 44 ammo with no idea when they would have some but thankfully CTD did have some in stock. Price was no higher than if I had ordered from Natchez.

Up until their recent shenanigans, I would have agreed with you, but they have shown their true colors 1 too many times for me. I won't go back, and you can find .44 Special from many sources, and many online stores have better prices and better ammo.

They do this same thing, every time.

I just got through telling you the actual facts, I purchased the gun on the first Saturday of State Fair, I remember it well because I went to Richardson to meet dieselgeek and bought a Loaded Springfield from him, stopped by Cabela's and bought the 44 special there. They had no 44 special ammo. I went to Walmart in Allen, no 44 special. Went on up to Sherman's Gander Mnt and Academy, no 44 special. Went to Best in Sherman, had one box of Hornady critical which I got. Went home and checked online prices at Natchez and Midsouth. Had to be in Mckinney Sunday and the CTD had two boxes of Bitterroot which I bought.

Why do you tell me that there are other places (I lived and worked in Dallas and have a fair idea of dealers) that have 44 special and places online that have it cheaper when I was the one doing the checking and calling. Might have been able to drive down to Rays and spent another 20 dollars on gas and 2 hrs fighting traffic on Monday but doubt if it would have been any cheaper.

This all took place in October, long before the ammo panic so there were no weirdos going berserk trying to find ammo, plus 44 special isn't like the 9mm you can find anywhere. I don't have any financial interest in CTD, but I did appreciate it when they had what I needed.

I don't believe I was being argumentative or calling you out for anything. I used to shoot lots of .44 Special, and just said there are better sources. I don't see what you have to get all ruffled up over. I said I wouldn't shop at Cheaper Than Dirt anymore and it had nothing to do with you.
