This morning at 9:15 I saw two new ar-15 Colts being sold at % $1200.00 at Academy. All I wanted were some Pmags which I bought.

Just curious, what were the pmags going for?

If so, that says a lot about the ethics being practiced at Academy.

Academy and Walmart, at least locally, have kept the same prices.

Temple's Academy had 2 colts today at 1099.00 each no mags or ammo.

Port Arthur Academy got a shipment yesterday of Pmags and they were priced @ $14.99. I think they last all of 30 minutes

Gander mountain had a couple R 15's in for 1200

If you like the R15 buy used. You can get a gently used one for $900 or so if you keep your eye open.

Gander here got 100 of them in at normal price, first guy in line bought them all.

I thought it was good that Academy was limiting their mags to 2 per person, stops some joker trying to corner the market.

The prices are already starting to come back down, and availability is also starting to get better. I think a lot of people are going to be left with a bunch of PMags realizing that maybe they shouldn't have bought a bunch with the hopes of selling them.

Academy, Cabelas, and a few others have stayed above board through all this. I bought a WASR AK from The Bullet Trap in Plano last week for $625. I happened to be at the range shooting when they put them out, so I thought I oughta grab one. Only ever liked AR's before but that little rifle is growing on me. Now, if I could only find some decent priced ammo, I'd be in business.

Pmags, rifles, ammo...I kind of hope lots of people get left holding the bag that were buying up stuff to cheat people who don't know any better. I don't need money THAT bad.

I hear you, but it cuts both ways. The thing is if one is driven by fear of the Feinstein legislation, you're screwing yourself buying now. Anything you bought couldn't be transferred after your initial purchase as I understand the synopsis. I know information is still sketchy on the text, but if one didn't educate oneself on possible ramifications of this bill before purchasing, that's unfortunate. And costly.

The silly folks who paid absurd prices for PMags will be kicking themselves for being snookered. It's kinda fun to watch the panic, though!

If you think things through, those people will not get caught holding anything as long as they retained their ticket. Academy and Cabela's will let them return their mags for a full refund. Now ammo is a different story.
