I'm wanting to go hunt on public land north of Whitesboro but need some information on exactly how to get there. I've searched for maps but they are no longer active from the corps of engineers. Any input will be appreciated.

I duck hunted up there from'82-''99 and then everybody and their mother from the metromess found out about it so we got a lease across the river. There's a ton of public land on the Texas side. There is a lake map that shows all public hunting in pink. But I gotta warn you, if you go on weekends you're gonna be dealing with alot of headaches. Lots of people walking around with 30/30's. Midweek is best and there are alot of nice deer up there. Through the years of duck hunting both sides of the river, we've seen alot of trophy deer. Hope this helps and be careful.
