I just got a new deer lease in Parker County on the east side of Lake Weatherford. New to hunting this area, wanted to know if anyone is hunting this area and what to expect. Trail cameras are out just waiting to pick them up this weekend. Any hogs in this area?

Im just across the way in Palo Pinto, pretty sure there should be hogs in your area as well as younger deer. Since your close to the metroplex Im sure there is high pressure in your area so shoot early as the season will probably go down hill quickly.

Well i haven't seen 'em through a scope, but a couple that i did see goin' down the road had the largest rack i've seen on the hoof from around here. A lady we know in Willow Park said that she's been feeding them in her back yard and that they are a good size

I also live in Parker County...a few miles from Lake Weatherford...right off of Fort Worth Hwy.
I'm trying to picture where enough undeveloped land east of the lake is that's big enough for a deer lease. How many acres are you leasing? Are you close to Azle HWY (730)?
Either way, you are a lucky dog!! I'll be listening for your gun shot on opening morning. There a lot of deer around that area!
