Looking to grab a 6.8 upper for my Remington R-15. Figured I'd start a new thread to ask this question. Lets hear suggestions!

Hi Bombay,

I have a Rock River Arms and it performs well...

Stag Arms makes quality yet cheap uppers.

Bison Arms, ARP, Wilson Combat to name a few.

I have to agree, the 6.8 is an excellent caliber for the AR. ARP is the way to go!

ARP no longer assembles uppers but they have a great barrel/bolt!

Daniel Defense, Noveske are a couple since ARP is not building Uppers right now.

ARP barrel is the best out there.

Another vote for the ARP barrel.
Most accurate 6.8 barrel we have shot in 16".
They even work with lefthanded uppers/BCGs without a hitch and are just as accurate.

PSA had some smoking deals on their 6.8 uppers without BCG and charge handle last week.

ARP all the way. Just sorry he doesn't build complete uppers anymore.

I have had 2 ARPs and currently running a Wilson Combat 16" ultra light.

All have shot extremely well.

I would advise sticking with a 16 vs 18 as the velocity increase going to the 18 is very minor being it is such an efficient round.

I've been real happy with Noveske's 6.8 uppers.

My Stag upper has run 100% and shoots factory Hornady rounds accurately. I took it deer hunting this year for the first time and was impressed with the results.
