What kind of price changes have you noticed for ARs? And are you able to find any on the shelves?

Did you just come out of a coma? Double MSRP from last month and no, few if any on shelves.

That's about it, not many people willing to sell anywhere close to what they paid. It makes me laugh when a $800 ar sells for 1600

If I were a true capitalist, I'd sell my ARs and mags and ammo and Glock right now to any number of paranoid suckers here on the THF for 2-3x their worth.
Then when all this panic blows over in 6-18 months, I can re-arm as before whilst realizing a tidy profit. If all the Chicken Littles here are right and the sky is indeed falling, well, I've got my bolt guns and my reloading bench. I doubt I'd miss the black guns all that much..... Nor the auto pistols..... Nor the 30-round mags.....

They are getting harder and harder to find at a descent price. Most or about 60-75% markup now.

One local gunshop jacked their prices anywhere from 500-1000 depending on what it was. Needless to say they are the only ones with AR's in Abilene.

I took a gamble on this philosophy today and turned my very basic 4 year old AR into a brand new Kimber with quite a bit of cash to spare.

There are several people selling 10's and 15's with double inflated prices and getting nothing but crickets chirping.

Hit the big gun show in Houston today, which was crazy packed from the start. We saw three whole bcg today and they disappeared fast for 350. Dpms ar's were 1600 and up. Saw Four uppers with bcg with the regular handguards sell for 750, very quickly. I did pick up a spikes upper for 110 with assist and dust cover and a Daniels defense 16" lightweight barrel for 250. Then I stopped at collectors firearms and asked for a bcg, the guy checked the bin behind him and pulled out a bcg. It was the last one and I lucked out at 100 dollar bill for it! Maybe I will finally get my upper together and under 800 bucks! Crazy crazy! On a good note on the way home we stopped at gander mountain and they had some ar's for 649. They were not dpms, as it was unmarex or something close to that. They had some dpms for 999 and several black rains for 1999!
