at one point I had big dreams of mounting head lights, fog lights, switches and pop up blinds, but after doing some reading on here and differant places my plan changed...keep it simple. The boat is a 16' Lowe with the wide bottom jon boat, it can and has taken a beating I decided to install (2) 12v outlets for spotlights, one in the drivers bench and the other in the front deck. I figure a handheld would be much better for me then mounted lights on the front. last season there were times that I needed a camo cover to hide the boat when we were done with it. I came across this netting at a garage sale not long ago, it was perfect, all I had to do was cut it to fit. when not in use i will have it rolled up real neat on the front deck, so when we need its as easy as unrolling. It covers from the front all they way to the motor even when the motor is up. I guess with the right amount of brushing in I could hunt from the boat, but I dont plan to do that. and last but not least...

Looking good. The mounted head lights are nice, but you need the hand held spotlight too, but pop-up blinds do seems more trouble than its worth.

Mya does fine. It's Treebass that can't handle the cold.

Mounted lights are PIA,,,,,,,they never are pointed where they need to be. Get a HH light, and lose the cig plugs you will thank me later when they short out or corrode and you can't use them.
alligator clips are your friend.

I never really thought about them corroding, i got the marine grade, i am sure that does not mean to much though.
now the dumb question...are people serious about these hard hat lights? when i first saw this I just thought it was a joke, seems like it would get real hot real fast in that hard hat.

GO LIGHT! Mark put one on his boat this past year and it is the sweetest thing ever. You control everything with a remote. I will be putting one on my boat soon.

Just get the bugs worked out, so I can enjoy the fruit of your labors without lifting a finger....I'll expect the coffee to be hot, and the internal temp of the boat roughly around 75ish or higher
