 Sons first deer finally...

Long story, started taking him hunting 5 years ago, had a chance at a nice 8 point but couldn't find him in the scope. Four more years of hunting and not another buck seen. We have land in Mason county and even had one year where we didn't see a single deer. He has had opportunities at doe but really wanted him to get horns for his first. So this year I made up my mind that he was going to pull the trigger, this one isn't what I anticipated for his first one but I am proud of my boy no matter what!

Backstraps down! Hey I shot a spike this year and if you're about 'hunting' he's just as much a trophy as my 8 point. Getting a horn mount for the spike (& a small 7) to honor the animals, the sacrifice & the hunt. There's always time for bigger deer and never enough time for making great memories with Family & Friends.
