I just spent the weekend at my deer lease near Sonora and the bucks are still chasing the does pretty hard. It looks like they are chasing the younger does that are just now starting to come into season.

thx for the heads up, heading out tonight for junction. did ya do any good? ya got some pics of deer in the area, i have never been there before and would like to see what im steppin into. I killed a mature, heavy horned 8 point that was following behind a doe this past weekend. It was not as wide as I would have liked, but was a mature buck with tons of mass. I also shot an Axis doe along with a WT doe. Saw a big bobcat that made a brief appearence but was too far off to get a shot at. I hunted a ranch for three years just outside of Telegraph back in the mid 80's. From what I understand, the deer quality have gone down on that ranch since then. When I hunted that ranch, no brow tines was a dominant trait. I have a nice 7 point and an average 6 point that have no brow tines from there. I would suspect that you will be seeing deer in the 100"-120" range unless it is a well managed property. Good luck!
