Only seen devil birds. But a top did break out of a tree right behind the stand, now it's laying out in the field.

I hunted all day yesterday...from a tree.. watched it go from rain...to sleet...to snow

Buy the time I climbed down at dark..my pack was frozen to the tree. Had to draw my bow every 30 minutes to keep my rest from freezing up.

And to top it off saw one damn deer.

Thank God for sorel boots and handwarmers

We were going to go out this morning here in Comal. Too much wine and festivities. Overslept. It felt good. My FIL has an Itchy trigger finger. Too cold to be cleaning a deer.

Shot at a running yote from 350 yards. Pretty sure he's in pain right now. No deer since 2 does at 8:30. Considering getting some warm food.

Not quite to 380. Due east of the south tip of the lake. Place goes from those mesas you can see for miles down towards the river.

Heading in. Saw a ton of activity but wouldn't come out of the tree line. Will be heading out early this afternoon.

Grandson on his way, gonna give 'em hell this afternoon and the next 2 days! Got a couple nice shooters coming in that would be real trophies for him! Could be his first buck and I wanna be there!
