this is the buck that I shot this past weekend.

Not the biggest that was taken on the ranch that weekend but still some good meat in the freezer, and like they say "no matter how much you boil them you just can't eat them antlers".

I am still pretty new to the managment game but since it did not have any points starting to show on the G3(i might have called the wrong tine on that) I assumed that there was a good chance that it might never be better than an eight so I decided to take it. I ranged the age from 2-3 years. Let me know if I was close I am really trying to get better at aging in the stand.

Hard to tell from that pic but i think I would have let him go another year, either way congrats on meat in the freezer. Call it what you want but managment all depends on what your trying to do with the place and what else is there.

May have given him one more as well. Jon are you in Highland Village, where do you hunt? I'm right down the road in Flower Mound and hunt Young county. U enjoy the 2-3 inches of snow today?

Yup. And management or not, you killed a buck. Great job up
