The story begins about 4 years ago. My son started a knife for my Dad for Christmas. He was in no hurry because Christmas was still about 10 months off. Well little did we know my Dad would never make that Christmas. I had forgotten about that knife until about a week ago when my son showed me a knife that a guy he works with made for him. It reminded me of the one he had started. I ask my son about it and he told me he just never finished it. Well my Christmas with him today I received that very same knife that he started and tears began to run down my face. He could never have bought me a gift that would mean as much as this knife. I'll will cherish it forever. Here or some pictures. Hope ya'll enjoy.

I think stories like this are what Christmas is really about!

Give me a diablo sandwich, a Dr. Pepper, and make it quick, I'm in a gosh-darn hurry.

Thanks for all the nice comments. My dad was a great father to me and a great granddad to my son. I was real fortunate to have a dad like him. I spent many hour fishing and hunting with him. I have raise my son as my dad raised me.

Beautiful knife. Thanks for sharing your story with us. Sounds like you've raised your son to have more character than most. up

Great story and what a great gift. I have two little boys that I hope they grow to love and respect me half as much as I do their grandfather and he did his father.
