I use to gun for the market out there, but I shot it out. Punt gun takes its toll. Sorry I wrecked it.

I will still go during the middle of the week but not a weekend. If you get set up folks will set up close and sky blast. Dont know if they were never taught better or have just never shot birds that are locked up.

I hunt lake granger. We refer to it as the "lake of fire" cause the action is always so hot.
We call the air above it the "Phoenix Flyway" b/c of the shear numbers of birds that fly through the area. And like the Phoenix they respond well to calling and decoy easily.

I hunted it a lot when I lived in atx. No one will talk about anything that happens on that lake. There can be productive days out there, but you gotta work for it and you will.have to deal with barneys.
