processed....i should of gave more info though...i got mine about 6 miles from camp and we had to hump it out, no atv or trucks where we were as it was way off the grid. We boned it out the best we could and humped it out in our packs ( 2 trips) ... About 300 lbs of meat i think. There was waste but we did the best we could, it was exhausting to say the least. This hunt was in Newfoundland not Alberta- it was fly in and over 30 miles to the nearest road and up in the mountains. If ya havent been moose hunting i highly recommend you try it..it was a blast plus the meat is the best wild game i've ever eaten. It was a rut hunt and we called mine in and the shot was about 20 yards with a 338 win mag..dropped him in his tracks. My friend got a 52 incher and we were tagged out in 2 days- i saw 9 bulls in those 2 days, and my friend saw 8 not to mention all the caribou we saw...

Btw the price hes offering on this hunt is unreal!!! Like i said, i'd book it in a minute but i'm looking to do a mule deer trip next year (maybe elk) ...we'll see....

We also have outfitters in newfoundland if anyone wants as well. In fact I have 300 outfitters worldwide that we book for!

Ya I'm fighting it now. If I didn't have to many gifts to buy or hunts booked now I would deff put my deposit down. If hunt is still available by jan I would but doubt it. Really cheap!

This deal ends dec.31. Deposits need to be in by then or at least a trip proposal signed and a commitment made with deposit to follow shortly there after. Hope you can make it work for u as its a great deal for this trip!

Anyone else book this hunt? I booked and paid my deposit for Aug 24-30. Since April silence from booking agent. I have called, messaged and e-mailed the agent and company. Booking agents phone doesn't eork and have heard nothing in almost a week. Called outfitter today still no response. Checking to see if anyone else has heard about their trip.

If you booked with a licensed guide you can always call Alberta fish & game about this. They should be able to help you with tracking your guide down. I hope you hear something soon and good luck.

Well heard back from the actual outfitter this hunt was supposed to take place with. He has never heard of me and never received any money. Hope I am not breaking any forum rules but figured I would let people know what happened.

So this was a scam?

As I understand it from talking to the outfitter, the hunt itself was NOT a scam. The fraud came in when the booking agent Darcy Tkach took my money for the hunt and then never booked the hunt with the outfitter.

Can the Game wardens do anything about a booking agent? I know they can deal with the outfitter but as I understand it the outfitter didn't know I had booked the hunt.

I'm not sure but I would damn sure call and find out. Call Alberta fish & game at least.

Maybe there is some remote chance there was a mistake made and the person is out for some crazy reason. Otherwise taking your money like that is stealing. There has to be something that can be done. Also did you make travel arrangements already?

Hey guys, as you can see i am a part of outdoor connection. i signed on last year and have booked a few hunts for some clients, it was really exciting to play a part in helping guys find good outfitters here in Canada, as im in BC. Like Kevin said "silence" since spring time... this also happened to me, i cant get a hold of anyone at this company, Canada or Kansas head office, to find out what the hell is going on, i have 2 more clients i booked and money was sent to Darcy as he operated the business here in Canada, and now they are both out totaling 7000$+ dollars and have filed legal action against the company. I have never seen something like this happen and it makes me sick. You can be very sure that i will not be a part of this company anymore.

All the hunts they offered were legit and i have 2 other clients that i booked that thankfully money was sent to the outfitter for their hunt, however they will not be sending money to Darcy...

In the end there is legal action being taken at a law firm in Winnipeg and if anyone reads this finding out they are in the same position as Kevin or my other 2 clients i am more than happy to assist in any way i can, email or cell 250-589-6775. Im sorry for those who have ever had anything like this happen, and cant believe the company has left clients and myself in the dark. All the best for the fall.
