Shot my first deer. A small doe that looked a lot larger when sighted in the scope. Are there any processors in Medina County specifically around Devine?

Congrats on your first deer! And they ALL look bigger in the scope than they do on the ground, lol.

lol yes they do. a few you tube video's and you too can be a processor. the money ya spend on processing, you can buy yer own grinder/sausage maker...its a piece of cake. if yer not comfortable mixing spices, you can buy pre-made seasoning for it. package in small portions..you can always cook 2 packs if ya need more.

Dziuk's Meat Market on HWY 90 in Castroville is the best in the area.

Welcome to ground shrinkage Shooting, it happens to most if not all of us at some point and usually more often than care to admit. Congrats on your first deer kill...

Thanks everyone! Took it to be processed at a local place in Devine. As mentioned there was ground shrinkage. LOL! Small doe. Me and friend easily picked it up before dressing. I could easily pick it up by myself after field dressing. Guessing the field dress weight under 50lbs. Would have passed if it had 't looked bigger in the scope.
