General Motors inland will not extract while firing. Cycle by hand and it will extract. I am looking hard at the extractor and spring. I completely fieldstripped and cleaned and oiled. Piston is very free. Am I headed in the right direction? Where do I get parts and tools ? It has an aftermarket montecarlo wood stock that I could easily be talked out of. Any info woul be greatly appreciated.

does it cycle after firing? If so, I would suspect an broken extractor. I replaced two in the brief time I had a 30 Carbine.

Weak extractor spring. While your at it, go ahead and replace the extractor, extractor spring, ejector, and ejector spring. I would suggest that you spring for a bolt disassembly tool, because it's a royal pain in the arse to work with that tiny bolt without it.
